Tips on Preparing for a Move

  1. Find the right company to move you and then call and set up a date to move 2-4 weeks in advance, make sure your movers are licensed and insured
  2. Start packing early, it can take longer than you think
  3. Make sure boxes are labeled and taped on the top and bottom
  4. You can wrap fragile items in t-shirts or towels
  5. Valuable items like cash and precious jewelry should be moved yourself in case anything is to get lost during the move
  6. A change of address form should be done about a week prior to the move
  7. Things like toothbrush, medicine, chargers, and any essentials should be packed separate and moved by you in case of emergency
  8. Plan out the payment method (cash, check, credit card, or our financing plan)

Don’t Forget

  1. Don’t forget to clean out closets, basements and attics as these spaces tend to collect junk (Lucky you we also haul off junk)
  2. Remember to cancel your cable, internet, newspaper service, yard/pest companies, and utilities a week prior to moving
  3. Defrost the refrigerator at least 24 hours prior to moving
